Meg Little Reilly is a writer at Bennington College, a novelist, essayist, and editor. She is the author of the novels THE MISFORTUNES OF FAMILY, EVERYTHING THAT FOLLOWS, and WE ARE UNPREPARED, which has been translated into several languages. Her work has appeared in McSweeney's, Literary Hub, Sojourners, Vermont Public Radio, Politico, and more.
Meg is also the Director of Project 14, a civic infrastructure and journalism initiative at the University of Vermont.
Before she got serious about writing books, Meg worked for President Obama as Deputy Associate Director at the White House OMB; and prior to that, as Spokesperson at the U.S. Treasury.
She has a B.A. from the University of Vermont and an M.A. from the George Washington University.
Meg grew up in the funky hamlet of Brattleboro, Vermont where she wrote terrible, heartfelt poetry in the woods. These days, she’s back at it in northern Vermont.
When she’s not writing, she’s playing outside with her family and her three-legged hound dog Georgie.
